The USSC emphasizes that affiliated Spiritist organizations
shall continue to maintain their autonomy, independence and
freedom of action. Affiliation is always voluntary, with the
sole purpose of promoting the fraternal union aimed at the improvement
and enhancement of the activities of the affiliated institutions
as well as the activities of the Spiritist Movement.
To become a member, interested organizations need to fulfill
the following requisites:
That their purposes and objectives be based on the principles
of the Spiritist Doctrine as codified by Allan Kardec.
That their organization be incorporated and registered according
to local, state, and federal laws. (In order to assist with
this process, the USSC will mail samples of Articles of Incorporation
and/or By-laws upon request. These samples are intended solely
as a general guideline and should be adapted to the needs of
each group, and specifically to pertinent local, state, and
federal laws.)
